Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a mixed experience. The rooms looked and felt dusty with a musty smell, giving off an old cabin vibe from the early 1900s. On the positive side, the service was excellent, showcasing a caring attitude from the front desk staff and the manager. The location was ideal, resembling postcard-worthy views, despite some unkempt areas, with the golf course standing out as lovely. The dining options were good, especially the buffet, and the breakfast buffet was included in the price.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean, but they could use some updating, and the temperature was too hot to find relief. However, the suite with a river view was a nice touch. The service was excellent, especially Georgette from account receivables who was warm, friendly, and helpful throughout. The location, although beautiful and close to Shawnee Mountain for outdoor activities, was a bit too warm for my liking at times. The dining was enjoyable, but the lack of clarity on included meals was a drawback. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
The hotel offers a mix of older-style motel rooms that could benefit from a renovation but are clean and comfortable. The service, from the bartender to housekeeping, is fantastic, and the surroundings are beautiful, though the location could use some updating. The dining, especially the breakfast buffet, is excellent, and the facilities are well-maintained.
